Speak with Nick

Erin: Are you eating a piece of cake? I thought you were serious about going on a diet.

Nick: I know. I just cannot help it. I see a piece of cake and I cannot stop myself. I have no self-control when it comes to sweets.

Erin: It is going to be hard for you to lose weight if you cannot control yourself. What are you going to do?

Nick: I’m just going to keep trying. I’ll do better next time. But since I already had one piece of cake, I think it won’t hurt if I had one more piece.

Erin: You’re going to eat another piece? I cannot help thinking that you are not serious about losing weight.

Nick: I’m serious about it. I am going to start doing well tomorrow.

Erin: We’ll see.
