This expression is the same as “I am interested in…”. It is used to show interests, hobbies, or likes.
Subject + be verb + into + noun…
- I am into cars.
- I am really into dinosaurs.
- She is into clothes.
- He is very into fashion.

- The boy is into dinosaurs.

It is also possible to use a gerund. It is always possible to use a noun or gerund after a preposition.

It is also possible to make a past tense sentence and talk about interests or hobbies in the past. Just change the be verb to the past tense.
