Nick: I heard that your husband took you out to a fancy restaurant for your birthday.

Wendy: That’s right. He took me to the new French restaurant that just opened up downtown.

Nick: That sounds amazing. How was it?

Wendy: To be honest, I was really excited about the food, but I was a little disappointed.

Nick: Are you saying that the food wasn’t delicious?

Wendy: It was good, but it just didn’t meet my expectations. Maybe, I was expecting too much.

Nick: That happens. Things are usually the best when we have no expectations.

Wendy: I think you are right. Anyway, I told my husband that it was amazing because I didn’t want him to feel bad.

Nick: That was probably a good idea, but you have to hope that he doesn’t take you there again.

Wendy: I didn’t think about that. Hopefully, that won’t happen.
